Greetings and Welcome
Grigsby Consulting LLC provides Intellectual Capital for Your Business by leveraging David Grigsby's skills and experience with software, technology and business process integration.
What I do: I solve problems as one of your trusted advisors
How do I do it: I use intellectual capital, technology, tactical business processes coupled with tactical and strategic hands on experience to solve real pain points to maximize and generate revenue streams while reducing operational expense and duplication of effort.
Who do I generally work for: Small to Medium Businesses where the "Do It Yourself" limits have been reached by the owner or staff or Medium to large
businesses on a team as a Corp to Corp (C2C) subcontractor.
What area of business do you focus on: Pre-Sales as this is a real pain point in most companies due to the economy as this is less of a black art and more science of methodology and positive persistence now.
So you’re an expert?: Maybe in a random room or gathering of professionals, but I would not call myself one, knowingly, but I like the synonym; proficient, as Merriam-Webster
and Wikionary defines it.
A general definition of an expert per Merriam-Webster
and Wikipedia is
"Doing something for 10 years or 10,000 hours"
Brief Explanation: The reason that I won't call myself an expert is that I am not that confident anyone is, including the inventor of the device, technology or methodology. My experience is based on a simple premise that the inventor (first expert) probably discovered their invention as a byproduct of their real research and passion. I have worked at many companies, like most professional developers, software architects and consultants. I have worked for Microsoft in Redmond,Wa, and I know my limits of course, as I test them regularly. Microsoft taught me that the most important asset I brought to the table was my Intellectual Capital and willingness to take calculated risks. Should I fail, which I rarely do, I fail fast, communicate it appropriately, learn fast with post mortems and documentation and then apply what I learned to the next engagement. When I fail, I learn great lessons that are not generally in books or isn't given away freely. I am "Commercially Adequate" in many roles and disciplines that are already defined or as yet to be defined. Simply I deliver and can get the job done on time within or under budget.
